Whether you realize it or not, your hair plays a huge part in your personality, confidence and look.  Getting a bad haircut can make you feel overly self conscience, unhappy or even make you shed a few tears!  Changing your hair color can transform your look and even change your personality!  You can also make non permanent changes to your hair by using accessories such as bobby pins, barrettes or head bands.  Most hair accessories are user friendly and even the hair challenged can manage to use them to create a new look.  Here are a few of the essential hair accessories this year:

The Bobby Pin

The bobby pin is a tiny piece of metal, but don’t be fooled by the size! These little pins are super powerful hair accessories.  You can use one or two to pin back strands and show off your beautiful face, or use them by the dozen to create an up-do with a unique textured look.

The Headband

The great thing about headbands is that not only are they practical accessories, but they are stylish as well.  Headbands are perfect for sweeping hair back and opening up the face.  You will find them in all sorts of widths, materials, and colors.  Headbands with special touches, such as flowers, can also add glamour to an up-do or when your hair is worn down.

The Head Piece

Not entirely the same as the headband, this hair accessory doesn’t necessarily help to keep hair out of your way or in your face, but it can completely transform your look and your outfit.  They wrap around the entirety of your head, worn on the outside of your hair, and can rest on your forehead or at your hairline.  Head pieces can come in many sizes, mediums and can be worn with many different hair styles. 

Barrettes and Hair Ties

These are simple solutions to adding some flavor to your hair when it’s pulled back.  Instead of using a boring plain hair tie to pull your locks back into a pony tail, use a barrette or a hair tie reminiscent of your child hood days!
